We have several spaces for you to enjoy, but please respect the environment and please clean up after dogs.
The cricket meadow next to the village school is a large open space ideal for playing, picnicing and dog walking (at the periphery). New play and fitness equipment has been installed on the Cricket Meadow. There are a number of items, and there is a lot of potential for fun! Please note though that all use is at your own risk, that all children should be supervised by an adult, and that a number of items are only suitable for over 14s. The equipment is labelled, and there are instructions on how to use it on a panel at the Cricket Meadow. Please report any damage or problems to the Parish Council by contacting Vicki Gay on email: BarninghamPC@outlook.com. Tel: 01379 898733
The play area is located next to the village hall and is a gated (no dogs) area with play equipment aimed at younger children.
There are a number of footpaths in and around the village (link to leaflet) and there are some geocaches to be found locally (www.geocaching.com).
Aggie's piece is our local pocket park and wildlife haven. To find it follow the road out of the village towards Coney Weston, passing the Church on your left. Take the second turning on the right after the Church (on the bend), follow the road round to the left and about 100 yards further on is the park on the right through the gate. There is a small parking area for disabled visitors further up the road on the right hand side.
In the park you will find a circular trail with notice boards and benches to take a rest.
Aggie's is dog friendly, but please clear up after your dog.
